Addmission Rules

1. Admission into different classes of the college can't be claimed as a matter of right. The Principal reserves the right to refuse or cancel any admission without assigning any reason there of.

2.  E- Admission at +2 (Arts & Sc.) stage starts from the session 2011-12.

3. After the publication of results of HSC / +2 Exam. application for admission is to be made in the prescribed form which can be obtained from the college office on payment of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred) only in cash.

4. Application for admission received after expiry of the last date (fifteen days from the date of publication of result of the qualifying examination or as notified in the college notice board) shall not be entertained.

5. Selected candidates shall be intimated through the notice on the college notice board/by post regarding the date of admission, allotted subjects or groups and fees payable as mentioned in the Prospectus.

6. The Admission Committee reserves the right to regulate the overall process of admission into different classes. It can frame any other rule in addition to the existing rules in the calender to be implemented for admission.

7. Selection of Honours shall be made after the closing date of admission. However, students have to specify their choices in order of preference in the application form itself at the time of admission.

8. Students of other Board/University are to submit an undertaking to the effect that they have passed the qualifying examination conducted by - (Name of the Board/University to be mentioned) and have to produce the provisional and Migration Certificate at the time of admission.

Procedure for Admission

(a) The completed Application Form Shall be enclosed with attested/xerox copies of SLC /CLC/T.C., Mark-Sheet of the last examination, conduct certificate issued by the Head of the institution last studied and three recent passport size photograph (attested).

(b) The Original Certificates and Mark-Sheets are to be produced at the time of admission for verification.

(c) The Index and Intimation card attached to the Application Form should be self-addressed and properly stamped.

(d) Application incomplete in any respect shall be rejected.

(e) Index card will be despatched soon after the receipt of the application form with a code number which is to be quoted for all correspondance regarding admission. Intimation card shall be sent by post only when the applicant is selected for admission on the basis of merit.

(f) If the candidate does not take admission on specified date as per intimation, her claim for admission will be forfeited.

(g) After admission, each student will be assigned with a Roll Number recorded in the Admission Register of the college and therafter all correspondance shall be made with that Roll Number.

(h) Reservation of seats for admission into +2 /+3 1st year class of Arts / Science faculty :-

SC - 12 % of the total seat

ST - 8 % of the total seat

Such applicants should enclose the attested copies of the Caste / Tribe certificate issued by the competent authority along with their application form for admission.

Criteria for Honours Selection

(i) There is no provision of seat Reservation for Honours selection

(ii) Selection of Honours shall be made after the closing date of admission as per the preference given by the student in the admission form.

(iii) A student securing minimum 40 % marks in the concerned subject and 40 % marks in aggregate (excluding extra optional) is eligible to apply for Honours subject.

(iv) If a student opts for an Honours subjects that was not a combination in her qualifying examination, 40 % of marks secured in English (for Oriya Honours 40 % of MIL (O) mark) as well as 40 % of marks secured in aggregate (without extra optional) will be taken as the criteria for eligibility.

(v) Merit list for Honours selection shall be prepared by adding the mark secured in the concerned subject / English / MIL (O) and the aggreate mark without extra optional.

(L) Identity Card

(a) After admission, each and every student will be provided with an Identity card with the signature and seal of the principal.

(b) Students are advised to carry their valid identity card with them and produce it as and when it is necessary.

(c) Duplicate Identity card may be issued on payment of Rs. 25/- alongwith an application addressed to the Principal and a recent passport size photograph.



The college reopens during 1st week of July after the Summer Vacation and admission will commence from the dates as per Intimation. The college is affiliated to CHSE, Orissa and imparts teaching in Science and Arts.


+2 Science Stream

Compulsory subject : English, M.I.L., Environmental Education

Elective Subject : A student has to take four optional subjects from among the following :-Physics, Chemistry , Biology , Mathematics.



+2 Arts Stream

Compulsory subject : English, M.I.L, Environmental Education .

Optional subject : A student has to opt. one group having four optional subjects from among the following :-

(1) Hist., Oriya, Eco., Psy

(2) Hist., Edu., Log , Eco

(3) Eco., Pol. Sc., Oriya, H.Sc,

(4) Pol. Sc, Oriya , Log, Psy

(5) Hist., Pol. Sc., Oriya, H.Sc.

(6) Pol. Sc., Log, Hist., Edu.



Change of Faculty or Subject

Change of Faculty is allowed within two weeks following the closing date of admission. Notification for subject - change will be made on a date after the commencement of classes. No change will be allowed after the specified date. [For further information the office of the principal may be contacted.]



The Application form shall be accompanied by the following attested documents. Originals shall be produced at the time of admission.

a) Transfer Certificate from the school/college last attended.

b) Mark - Sheet of last Examination Passed.

c) Character Certificate from the head of institution last attended.

d) Three copies of attested pass-port size photograph.

e) Students passing the Examination in correspondance course are required to produce the course completion certificate from the competent authority at the time of admission.

f ) Money- Receipt for Rs.50/- (cost of Application form)
